Ladoga Ridge earns six medals in 2013
Finger Lake International Wine Competition
More than 3,500 wines were entered in the March 2013 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition. Twenty countries, including all 50 states and 4 Canadian provinces were represented. Seventy top world judges from 14 countries chose the winners based on a variety of merits.
Ladoga Ridge Winery entered six wines, each of which received a medal:
DOUBLE GOLD - Chococherry Kiss
GOLD - Strawberry Rhubarb
SILVER - Ladoga Vignoles
SILVER - Traminette
SILVER - Blackberry
BRONZE - Peach
Welcome to Ladoga Ridge Winery
Nestled in the countryside just a stone's throw north of Kansas City, Missouri is one of Northwest Missouri's greatest treasures. Ladoga Ridge Winery, which opened in September 2011, is a labor of love for owners Galen and Leinda Haddock. It began with the dream, then the plan. After many months of hard work, finally - Ladoga Ridge Winery became a reality.
In this Missouri winery, the Haddocks have established a quaint haven where visitors can escape from the rush of the workaday world. Whether you join them for a relaxing glass of wine with friends, a tour of the winery and vineyards, one of their wine tastings, a wedding or other family gathering - you are sure to be glad you visited.
Their first wine, a cab/merlot, was named "Yankee Smith" in honor of Smithville's first settler, Humphrey "Yankee" Smith. The Haddocks cellared, blended and refined "Yankee," and Ladoga Ridge Winery bottled their first wine on August 5, 2011.
 
Ladoga Ridge offers enjoyable wine tastings and tours. Visit the gift shop, which showcases items from local businesses as well as our wines and beautifully-etched wine glasses. Enjoy the indoor seating inside the Winery, or you can soak up some sun in the outdoor seating, surrounded by four acres of vineyards.
